Position Status: Full-time (40 hours per week) 

Position Terms: 10-month employment (1,733 hours) (end date 8/5/25)

Annual Salary: $45,760 (equal to hourly rate of $26.41)

Location: In-office and remote

 
Position Objective:

More Smiles Wisconsin (MSW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing dental and other health-related services to low-income individuals in and around Madison, Wisconsin. MSW is a multi-faceted organization providing varied programming including the Hometown Smiles Program (HTS), a school-based dental program with the goal of increasing the number of children across the state that graduate high school with zero dental decay. The Project Manager position is a grant funded position with specific outcomes centered around the creation of toolkits to be used statewide. Primary job responsibilities will be to plan, coordinate, implement and manage all activities related to the development of these toolkits.

 

Essential Functions:
  • Representing the organization to stakeholders and the public

  • Attending and participating in community and government organizations meetings as needed

  • Preparing and monitoring a project budget and work completion timeline

  • Serving as point of contact between parties to ensure the team and project remains in synergy

  • Collaborating with appropriate subject matter experts to design toolkits to be used by communities for implementation of the Hometown Smiles Program in their community and to aid in educating dentists about Medicaid enrollment

  • Performing limited care coordination tasks (data entry, scheduling, etc. to gain familiarity and insight into HTS programming and the relationships that pertain)

  • Any other duties as assigned

  • Identify and work with 2 Wisconsin communities to implement the Hometown Smiles Program utilizing the developed toolkits and onboarding materials

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills needed:
  • Ability to make public presentations and to work successfully with community groups, government and private agencies, and low-income families

  • Knowledge of budgets and finance and cost management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams

  • Strong computer and software use skills 

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to do complex problem solving
