Scott unexpectedly passed away in August of 2018.  He was an incredible person and presence for More Smiles.  He was instrumental in the redevelopment of the organization from Madison Dental Initiative to More Smiles Wisconsin, and was the creative mind behind all of our design and branding.  He was also an immensely fun, friendly, and creative man who will be greatly missed.

Scott Kirkpatrick attended the University of Minnesota/Twin Cities, but is originally from Madison, WI. After finishing his education, he stayed for 20+ years, where he was the the Creative Director at three of the largest ad agencies in Minneapolis. Scott worked on a wide variety of accounts, including 3M, Scotchgard, Toro, General Mills, Honeywell, Land O’ Lakes, Easter Seals, Porsche, Northwest Airlines, St. Paul Saints, and Pillsbury before working as the Marketing Creative Director at Best Buy Headquarters.

In Wisconsin, he has worked on brands like Miller Brewery, Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, and Echo Lawn Equipment before becoming the Director of Creative Marketing at Famous Footwear. In 2002, Scott started Extra Bold Portfolio School, working to place over 30 students in real agencies. He continued to find great freelance clients but found the perfect fit at WisNet.com. There, he has added more in-depth marketing to web design applications and programming, helping to expand their branding to a vast client list.

Scott first learned about Madison Dental Initiative through his daughter, Carly, who volunteers as a pre-dental student. She told him about all the work More Smiles Wisconsin does for those in need and he jumped at the opportunity to be more involved. His goal as a board director is to help raise awareness within the community and make it the number one cause dentists care about.

In his spare time, he enjoys a bonfire with great company under a starry night.
