Fatima Wasti, our newest dental assistant, graduated with a DDS from U. A.E. where she is originally from and lived for 23 years. Since moving to the United States in 2011, she has passed the U.S. National Dental Board Examinations then shadowed and volunteered at various dental organizations, such as Ebenezer Medical Outreach (Huntington, WV), where she worked as a dental assistant and office coordinator.
Currently, she is a graduate student at A.T. Still University, enrolled in their Master’s of Dental Public Health program and intends to make a difference by contributing to dental public health infrastructure. She firmly believes in the power of education and that oral health disparities can be greatly reduced by increasing knowledge amongst the general public. Her research interest lies in epidemiology and evidence-based preventive dentistry, especially amongst children and the geriatric population.
Other than her passion for dentistry, Fatima enjoys cooking, traveling, painting, and most of all, spending time with and planning activities for her two-year-old son.
